Amanda Jones is an Emmy Award Winning Composer who has rapidly become a standout voice amongst a new generation of television and film composers.
In 2023, Jones won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Music Direction and Composition for her work on Season #2 of the Apple TV+ documentary series Home.
Jones’ original music can also be heard on the episode “Maine” from Season #1 of Home for which she received her first Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Music Composition For A Documentary Series or Special (Original Dramatic Score).
Jones has the distinction of being the first African American female to be nominated in the Primetime Emmy score category.
Jones just completed scoring the new MGM+ Series The Emperor Of Ocean Park, the new Apple TV+ Documentary Omnivore and Season 3 of the HBO Max Series Somebody Somewhere.

Jones has a BA in music from Vassar College where she studied music composition, production and classical guitar under Terry Champlin. She also has certificates in both film scoring and orchestration from Berklee College of Music.
Jones performs as the singer and guitarist of the Los Angeles based indie rock band, The Anti-Job. Their music has been air-played on multiple radio stations including BBC Radio and NPR.
Jones resides in Los Angeles.
